Ready for one of the latest experiences from Cirque du Soleil? Ovo comes to Toyota Center on Thursday, October 2nd. This performance is part of the small run that Ovo will have in Houston. The show is meant to take viewers into the insect kingdom. As you would have expected, with the amazing show runners at Cirque du Soleil, this is done through death-defying acts, over-the-top costumes, and visuals that are going to ensure that your eyes remain glued to the stage throughout the entire performance. Not to provide any spoilers, but there's also a love story mixed in there! Keep an eye out for that one. A lot of times, the "storytelling" element of these shows is missed because you're looking at everything else.

Cirque du Soleil’s OVO, a dazzling insect-themed show, comes to Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 7:00 PM, kicking off a run through October 5. Celebrating 15 years since its 2009 Montreal debut, OVO features 53 artists from 25 countries, delivering high-energy acrobatics like crickets on trampolines and a spider in her web. The show’s Brazilian-inspired energy story of a quirky insect and a ladybug in love, has captivated over 7 million fans across 40 countries.
The 7:00 PM show, with doors at 6:00 PM, will bring you into a colorful insect world. Directed by Deborah Colker, OVO features acts like aerial straps and a climactic wall act, and athleticism. Expect playful characters and live music, ideal for all ages, though it includes loud noises and dark scenes. Arrive early, as latecomers may be held until a break.
